I love grids. They give us a framework for organizing and viewing subject matter. In my case, the subject matter is a variety of natural elements and objects found in the natural world such as tracks in the sand, kelp, rocks, underwater plants, mosses and lichens to name a few.
The triptychs in this portfolio are about changes in perspective and creating a kind of tension.
The diptychs came about when I saw relationships between the rock patterns I was photographing and the movement and colors in the abstracted seascapes.
