This series of work is about color, fluidity, and motion. The ocean is never static. I wanted to emphasize that by using the natural motion of the seas and by creating new movement through my own actions. The resulting images were sometimes just a blur but most times there was some actual context-waves, horizon line, shoreline. They felt very much like color field paintings-like Mark Rothko's. Many also reminded me of Turner paintings. These are all printed on either archival metallic lustre paper or a matte surface photo rag. Each paper gives a different feel to the image.
